I can hardly believe that Jonny is finally home!! It has been a long two years but I am so grateful for all that he has learned and all that we have all been blessed with. I know that the things that he has learned he will use the rest of his life. Thanks for all of your support of him and our family.

Trip to Brazil
What an amazing trip we had!! We went to Brazil to pick Jonny up and had an awesome time. It was a long flight (about 30 hours one way with lay-overs!!) but well worth the trip. Before we picked up Jonny we went to Rio and Iguazu Falls. They were unbelievable and we had a great time. Then we picked Jonny up. I can't begin to explain how good it was to finally see him. Then we spent the next five days going to meet some of the people that he had met over the past two years. It was so great to see how much he loved the people and how much they loved him. When he started testifying of the gospel, we didn't need to know what he was saying because we could feel the spirit so strong we didn't need to know what the words were. Then the last day we spent with his mission President and his wife in the Porto Alegre Temple and at their home for dinner and a testimony meeting. We loved seeing the sites in Brazil but the best part of the trip was definitely meeting the people there and feeling of their love for Jonny and for the gospel of Jesus Christ. They are so strong and were such an example to me. It made me want to be better. It was a trip that we will never forget!

Trip to Yellowstone
Ryan Jumping
Brett Jumping
Brett and Stacey
Britt and Kolten
Mom and Dad took us to Yellowstone to go snowmobiling. We had a great time but it was freezing as you can tell in the pictures. We went into the park one day and then snowmobiled for a couple of days. Danielle was making fun of my purple lipstick so the one of me and my nieces and Cameron are all of us showing off our purple lipstick! (Watchout Cameron!!) Sorry there are so many photos. We had such a great time and so many to choose from. We went up to Two Top and saw these amazing ice sculpures. The wind had blown so hard and made some great jumps for everyone to have fun on. I think that Josh could have stayed there all day. Thanks Mom and Dad again. It was great to have fun with everyone. We are headed to Brazil to get Jonny on Tuesday. Yeah!!! We can't wait.

Less than one month to go!

I can't believe that Jonny is almost home. I didn't think that day would ever come. We leave on March 17th to go down and get him, then he will be home on March 27th. I thought it would be good to post some of my favorite pictures of the past two years. He has had a great mission. He loves the people in Brazil and he his testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ has grown so much, I know that it will be hard for him to come home because he says there is so much work to be done there. But I will be so glad to get him home. For those of you that are interested, his homecoming will be on April 12th, Easter at 11:00. Not a great day for a homecoming but it was our only option because of General Conference. We are so grateful for the service that Jonny has given for the past two years and we are so grateful for the blessings that we have all received because of his service.

Cruise to the Caribbean

I know that you are all shocked that I finally updated my blog...I have just gotten lazy. We have had a fun couple of months. Jeff and I went on a cruise to the Southern Caribbean with my family. We had a great time and really did some fun things. It wasn't a relaxing vacation at all, we really did some things that made me step out of my comfort zone, but they were so fun. We flew in to Puerto Rico then we went scuba diving on St. Lucia. I almost freaked myself out and didn't go, but I'm glad I did. We saw some amazing colors and some awesome fish. We did nine zip lines on Antigua and hiked to the top of the rain forest. We snorkeled at St John, Antigua, Barbados, and St. Maarten. We also swam with the turtles, (well we saw a couple of turtles) went on some wave runners and took a jeep ride around the island. It was great to spend some time together and with my family. I wanted to have a nice relaxing vacation before all of the craziness at our house starts. (Jonny coming home, Ryan & Brea's baby girl, Brett & Stacey getting married and Britt & Kolten getting married!) It makes me tired just thinking about it!! I'll try to keep a little more up to date and post some pictures of Jonny before he comes home on March 27. Yeah!!

I know that most of you think that I have been slacking with posting, but I am having a problem uploading photos. So hopefully I have it figured out. We went up to Steven's property last month for Family Night. It was so beautiful up there. The weather was perfect and the leaves were gorgeous. The kids all had a great time and got so dirty! (Especially Zaya and Carston, I'm not sure that Zaya or Katie's clothes ever came clean!) It got dark and the kids didn't want to come home. They had a great time on Ryan's horses, the four-wheelers and their bikes. Thanks Steven and Connie for inviting us up. We had a great time.

Jonny update
Next week will be 18 months only 6 months to go!! Yeah!
They did a service project: He thinks in English it is called "Helping Hands". He loved getting dirty finally and it is great to see how well he is doing with the language, when he can't remember how to say things in English!!
This is him and Elder White, his dad works at Costco corporate and Jeff has worked with him for years, so it is fun for them to keep up with their boys.
hey whats goin on? hows things going up there in the north? is it still hot? well things here are going good they are starting to pick up alittle more after alot of hard work and alot of rejection they are starting to pick up. i could really see the importance of hard work and obedience. that is the only way the lord can really help us through our trails and help us find the people that he has in store for us each and every day. he has really helped me and my comp especially to realize his love for us. i am so greatful to be here although the thought goes through my head another day that i have to wake up and study and go to lunch and then to work. but i have to kick that out of my head and the lord helps me with that im really so greatful for his love for each one of us i know he is watching over all of us if he wasnt our lives would be alot harder than they are. well i dont have much time left. i better get going i hope you all are doing great and have a great week i love you all and pray for you daily have a good one talk to ya next week love ya.

Happy early birthday Hudson and Jaxon!
I decided that I wanted to get the boys bikes for their birthdays but thought that if I waited to give them to them on their birthdays, they wouldn't have any time before it gets cold to ride them. So we gave them an early birthday present. It was so fun to see Jaxon helping Jeff put his together, then the next day when he was riding it he kept getting the tools out and taking all the bolts off. We will be lucky if it stays together. Jaxon says that I spoil them... but isn't that what Grandma's are for? Anyway, we left them here because of all the hills at their house and I have had to go out and ride them every day when they come over. I guess I didn't think about that!! Oh well, Happy early birthday boys, we love you!!
